FFFC?

I'll start-

LO's bedtime is 10:30sometimes11 Which is also my bedtime. He sleeps twelve hours a night and I've found that if I put him to bed at the same time as me then I have time to get up in the morning at 8 and get a bunch of housework done before Elliot wakes up.  It gives me more of a chance to play with him while he's awake and then I can take a shower and take care of myself during his nap. It works well for us.

This is us, too. Personally I don't find it all that flame-worthy! I actually have no idea how to get DD to stay down at 8pm. Maybe an after-bath nap if I'm lucky. DH gets home from work around 730-8pm so it's nice for him to get some time with her and that's when we eat supper too. Of course when DD has to be up for day care or school we'll have to move supper/bath/bedtime way earlier, but for now it's working well for us. Besides, I'd much rather have 10-8 or 11-9 sleeps that 8-6. 6am!! Who the heck wants to get up and entertain a baby at 6am!? lol

My FFFC? ...DD sleeps all night in the swing. And she still cluster feeds all evening. She's finally napping in the crib, but for nights after all the eating and her reflux issues, the upright angle of the swing is what's working. It doesn't even have to be moving.

Elliot's been on solids for a month tomorrow and he loves it.  I thought it might make him gain some weight but he's still gaining like he always has. I think we're just destined to sit in the 3rd percentile. lol

  • I have a friend- well more acquaintance but whatever, who just had her 4th child under 6 yrs! And she is so on top of things, perfectly dressed, nails always polish- never chipped, looks well rested, in great shape, never seems frazzled-  a mom that could only live in the movies. It drives me crazy to see her out because I feel so overwhelmed and usually look disheveled and this is my first and only! She is super nice so I can't dislike her but I really want to know her secret! And no she doesn't have a nanny, housekeeper, hairdresser or personal stylist. Lol I've asked.

We are going to start oatmeal next week. DD has just been on breastmilk so far. The way I see it, starting iron fortified foods now will hopefully help us avoid any anemia & iron vitamins later on.

My FFFC: Not a huge confession but I'm definitely going to eat the last 5 chocolate chip cookies before DH gets home.

  • sometimes i leave LO in his jammies until the late afternoon... I just don't see a reason to get him dressed if he's just going to take a nap in a little while and I figure his jammies are nice and toasty... if we're not going someplace, why put clothes on?? :)
  • I have three!!!

    1. I keep saying next week I'll put her in her room to sleep and then next week comes and she's still in her pnp next to my bed.

    2. Because I don't change her diaper throughout the night in hopes that someday she'll sleep through the night, she sometimes wakes up in the morning with such a full diaper, she absolutely stinks like pee. But I do load her up with diaper cream and she doesn't seem to mind. Wow just typing that makes me feel like a bad momma.

    3. I just ate a Nutrageous candy and drank a dr. Pepper. Both equally yummy.

  • My husband is going out tonight with a friend visiting from Germany. I don't want to be stuck home watching the baby, but I'm fairly sure he would resent me if I asked him not to go out. I plan on having more than one glass of Sangria tonight and apply for a bunch of jobs.

We're staying in a hotel for the next week, because the movers packed up all our stuff and we have nothing. We lucked out and got a pretty nice suite, not on our dollar. The hotel hosts an open bar for two hours each night. I've been drinking more than I probably should! I can't say no to free!!!

LO is sleeping in his RnP with a blanket over it because he soaked his diaper, PJs, and the rocker. I havent washed it yet.

    I trust doctors in general.

Im getting really excited that LO is outgrowing some stuff so I can sell it and not have so much stuff laying around
