Child support enforcement finally started enforcing,I don't know what the actual term would be, on E's dad and so I am now dealing with his huge sob story that he's going to be evicted from his apartment and lose his license and therefore his job and he is apparently going to be in jail over Christmas. Coincidentally someone posted this on facebook today and it's exactly how I feel.

What Fian said. Good luck lopes.
BFP Chart
OCT 2011 Moms BlogWhen my ex-SIL had to go to court over custody issues the judge asked why she quit her job at Dollar general(and quit paying CS). She said that her BF made enough to support her. The judge said until her BF makes enough to support her and pay her child support she better get a job.
BTW- BF was a sex offender. This was also the same ex-SIL who sold her kids clothes when they came down for visitation to Once Upon a Child. The kids would come back shoeless and in rags.
(Yes! I know, my family sucks)
Do what is best for your kids. Get a 2nd job if you have to!
He actually completely ignored all the courts requests for financial information so I submitted somethings I had where he told me how much he was making a month. He also didn't attend the meeting with the Master to determine current support since it was originally based off him being on unemployment. He is like a year behind on support but OCSE is only processing the last 6 months and the amount he is supposed to be paying a month because of back support is pretty high. We have a contempt hearing next month for the money he owes from before we met with the Master. His argument is that my parents are rich and I'm married so I have access to more money than he does and he buys the things E needs for his house which right now is nothing since he doesn't have visitation. He doesn't understand why he needs to pay CS since he has another kid with someone else and is "engaged" to someone else with a baby that isn't his he is providing for.
He is an idiot. (Sorry - I know he's the father of your child, so maybe I should say "he is a child" because that's really what I mean)
1) In your backstory counted 3 times/events where he could have saved himself from the costs he is now paying, and he chose not to avail himself of those opportunities.
2) The amount you or your family have has nothing to do with the fact that he is obligated to contribute more than sperm to a child he helped to bring in to this world.
3) Spousal support is: a) not related to child support and therefore it doesn't matter if you are married. b) for your benefit and therefore it doesn't matter that he plans on one day eventually getting married or has eleventy-billion children. c) not at issue here, so why bring up any of that stuff?
This makes me incredibly sad!
And you wonder why my nephew has issues and is on probation. They are incredible kids that just got stuck with a crappy mom and a dad who although tries his best just can't get it right.
This! Good for you for taking action. My father is the poster child for dead-beat Dads and sh*t like this angers me to no end.
