Since we have officially closed the cases at our previous agency, I decided to contact a few that specialize in IA just to get info. I asked about China's net worth requirement and how they calculate it... and it turns out that education debt doesn't need to be included since those loans can be deferred.
Holy crap! That means we are $40k closer to qualifying!! Looks like 2-5 years just got cut down to 1-3 years! Yay yay yay!! I literally did a happy dance in my office yesterday when I got the email.

Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
Homestudy complete July 19
USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!
