3 U 3 to the store

Tomorrow im taking my 6 week old, 21 month ago and almost 3 year old to my doc appointment then a quick trip to grocery store to get snacks for bday party Saturday.

My plan of attack is to hopefully find the car cart to put two older boys in keep baby in car seat putting that in main cart area. I would ware baby in carrier but it kills me back.

How do u take 3u3 to stores?

Mine are now 3yo, 2yo and 4 1/2 months but I have always done what you just said. I park next to the cart return and pray there is a big one out there. If there isn't a big car cart then I put my 2yr in a regular cart, baby in the carrier in the cart then my 3yr walks into the store. Once I get into the store I switch to the double car cart. It's a lot of work getting in/out of the car but once you do it a few times it starts to get faster.

I go grocery shopping on thursdays when I have all 3. Now in the store and keeping the big boys from touching each other in the cart is a whole other issue. I really want to build a divider for that darn car cart so I can separate them sometimes.

My 3 under 3 are older now, but when they were little I kept the infant in the carrier and put him in the "main" part of the cart (which didn't leave much room for groceries) the 1 1/2 year old in the seat section, and the 3 year old walked. Generally I would only go if I had to pick up something quick, so not having much space in the cart didn't matter much. I'd also use my double stroller on occasion because the basket at the bottom held more than the cart. GL!

I would definitely invest in a better carrier if your infant is hurting your back. It will just make life easier--heck I felt I needed one with 2u2, nevermind 3u3. It would give you another option if you can't find a 2 seater cart since some stores don't have them/only have a small amount.
