Nap Nanny Out of Business!

I was at a store earlier today and everyone was in a frenzy because the store said they just got notification that Nap Nanny closed their business. Something about the hurricane damaging their Nap Nannys and no insurance and too expensive to continue on. I'm not sure of the details, but I ab obsessed with my Nap Nanny. I'm seriously considering buying another right now in case I have another baby.

  • Wow, that is awful! I didn't have one with my first but I looked them up to see what they were. I found this one on amazon - is it usually that expensive or did they jack up the price due to supply and demand? Seems pricey for a little bed.

$129.99 is the normal price. I would paid it 10 times over again. That's how well it worked for us.

Wow! Did you use it at night or just for naps? What was so magical about it?

I only used it once at night when we were dealing with a stuffy nose / cold. I was on the couch and the Nap Nanny was next to me. Other than that, it was our newborn go to place for hanging out and naps. I loved how easy and light it was to move from room to room. It was also extremely easy to clean by putting the cover in the wash. Now my toddler loves hanging out in it. I have heard from people who had kids with acid reflux that it was a lifesaver for them.

  • Their website doesn't mention anything about them going out of business...I may ask when I go to BBB today!
  • I just posted about if they were worth it or not the other day and I was told they were great. So I guess I'll be buying one very soon instead of waiting if the store really did go out of business. I have found some on Ebay for a little cheaper than the retail price.
  • I have no experience using the nap nanny but hear its great. I do have the rock and play and it is a life saver for reflux.  Very inclined and not as expensive. Just an option. It gets great reviews also. Good luck.

  • I asked them at BBB and they haven't heard anything about NN going out of business. I'm still planning to get one.
  • It's posted on their website today :(

I had one for my daughter for reflux. And purchased another when I had twins! Worth the $. Just don't use them in cribs or pack n plays. Best wishes!
