Hey all! Can any of you recommend (or give me warning about) a basal body thermometer? We are looking to purchase and would love your input!

Re: Basal Body Thermometer
I bought the one at Target that was prepackaged for fertility tracking. I think it was about $10. It's pink (of course), but I forgave that because it worked well for me.
Also, I'm sure someone else has already mentioned this, or you have already read about it, but I used the website www.fertilityfriend.com for all of my charting. It was really helpful. Once I actually started TTC, I upgraded from the free membership to the VIP one and found that to be very useful in tracking all of my various symptoms/trends.

I bought the mabis off of amazon. I really liked it and ended up getting pregnant my first cycle using it. It was probably a coincidence, but every bit helps! Also, it's the one that was most recommended to me.
Good luck!

I really don't believe it matters. If it tells you your temperature down to tenths of a degree (which anything sold as a BBT will do and some non-BBT thermometers), it will work fine. The one feature I did look for was that it didn't take long to read the temperature, but because I'm not that patient first thing in the morning. I bought one from Verid.ian Healthcare because it reads your temp in 60 seconds, and it served me well (as in I was always able to chart ovulation effectively, not as in it got me pregnant -- but a thermometer is not going to get you pregnant). It's currently on sale on drug.store.com.
