Yeah I'm getting one. Only provision is getting preservative free kind. Too bad they were out of them yesterday while I was there. It's covered 100% by my insurance but I have a 35 dollar copay for the office visit. Lame.
I got a flu shot over a month ago, and was diagnosed with the flu (and strep) this past Saturday.
I've heard of such things but never actually known anyone that this has happened to. So far, DD and DH are ok. I guess IVF + pg insomnia = weakend immune system, or I'm lucky. lol
The urgent care doc urged me to take the Tamiflu, but the RE said not to take it, so I stopped after 2 days.
No point to my story other than to say that even with a flu shot, make sure you take care of yourself. I really hope my case is not indicative of how bad this flu season will be.
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Unfortunately it only protects against the very most common strains of the flu. Glad your family was ok. You must have been miserable.
Where I work you have to get the flu vaccine by Oct 31st. I was putting it off because I really wanted the flu mist but knew I needed to test first. Tested on thurs oct 25 got the flu SHOT on friday. Lol!!!!

I am actually allergic to eggs so I have never had one. Although aren't there non-egg based ones out there if you are in a high risk group (like being KU!)?

I got one today and I'm 6 weeks. My doctor assured me that it was fine, in fact she recommended it.
