I am having a hard time finding a non-puffy, but warm enough for outside coat for this winter. I have always had luck at Old Navy with their Peacoat style coats. Unfortunately, I am not having any luck anywhere this year. Any suggestions? TIA
Lands End Squall Jackets are warm to -5 degrees and are thin. We have the parka one. If you buy last years colors on their site they are on sale for $59 and there is a code for 30% off and free shipping. It also come in a shorter jacket version
I love the squall jacket - it's definitely warm enough. I got the parka version for DD for this winter to have a longer torso to keep her stomach warm as she grows.

We always get Hanna Andersson coats. They have Thinsulate and are thin but warm. To be honest, I usually get them on ebay because they last so long and wear so well, that most of the ones used for one season are like new. That saves a whole lotta cash! I love the fun patterns too.

Ditto. I recently bought DS the 3 in 1 Squall Parka when it was on sale for $69. Landsend has good sales with free shipping all the time.
