Traveling to families home for Thanksgiving, quick ?

We are traveling to MILs for Thanksgiving, and we are trying to figure out the sleeping arrangements. She has 1 guest room with a water bed. I can't sleep on that, and the girls sleep in their crib. I'm wondering if you all had any similar situations?

Do you have pack n plays for the girls? ?If not, could you rent them from a place like "Baby's Away?" ?As for your own bed...can you bring an air mattress?

We are also going to ILs in CT - 3 hours away and they have a guest room and a den with a TV in it. I set up the girls portable cot s (maybe 1 PNP and 1 cot - we will see how it goes)in the guest room, where we will sleep also, because they seem to get scared in a room in a not as familiar place. We will just sneak in when we are ready for bed.
