Anyone else have hypothyroidism? I was diagnosed back in 2009 and my levels have been steady with low dose meds. The hour wait to eat after taking it feels like an eternity! I'm starving when I wake up.
I was recently diagnosed and treated for hypothyroidism. Actually, I think the synthroid allowed my body to ovulate and therefore get pregnant! I just started a low dose on Oct. 2 so I need to have my levels checked in mid-November. I usually take my pill in the early am and then fall back asleep for a few hours and it works well.
I was told I only needed to wait 30 minutes, i'm on levothyroxine. I take it as soon as I wake up and by the time I get DD up and downstairs and get food, its been plenty of time. But just in the last couple days I have woken up STARVING too. So it may get a little harder.
I think remembering to take your pill each day is better than nothing, so I wouldn't stress too much about waiting to eat.

I was diagnosed a looong time ago, I think I was only 89 with hypothyroidism. I'm on levothyroxine and I don't know that any dr has told me when to take it. I take it every night before I go to bed and always have. My levels were wonky when I was pregnant with DS though, and I had to be monitored every couple mo. so they could adjust my meds.
