XP: Success after multiple losses

Hi ladies. I posted this on PGAL and someone suggested I XP here. Hopefully some of you might have some insight and/or hope for me! Thanks!

Hi ladies. I hate my post title but couldn't really think of anything more appropriate. I searched back a few pages to see if this had been discussed but didn't see it anywhere. Basically, I came here looking for some hope. My husband and I have been struggling with IF+loss for over two years now (and TTC for 3+.) After 3 failed IVFs, I switched REs and finally got pregnant on my 4th IVF. Unfortunately, last week's u/s did not look too good. I go in for another u/s on Thursday but am already preparing, once again, for the worst. If so, it will be our 5th loss (two cp, two D&C and then whatever ends up happening with this one.)Has anyone here had multiple losses (more than two) followed by a successful pregnancy? I know everyone is pregnant and hasn't given birth, but I guess success can be defined however you see fit. We've gone through an infinite amount of testing to no avail. Everything looks "fine." I'm looking for some hope or some crazy ideas as to how to keep my body pregnant if and when there is a next time. Or...when do we just throw in the towel?

I'm so sorry for your losses.  I had 4 losses prior to getting pregnant and giving birth to our little boy. One was an ectopic that resulted in the loss of my left tube, one c/p, one missed m/c w/ a D&C and my last was another ectopic after our first IVF cycle and that was treated with 2 rounds of Methotrexate.  I know how heart wrenching this process is and how difficult it is to stay hopeful but don't give up.  I'm keeping my FX your next u/s shows good news! ((HUGS))

I'm sorry for all your losses and all you have gone through.  I had 6 missed miscarriages (5 D&Cs) before my baby boy was born.  I went through many different doctors along the way (1st OB for the first 2 pregnancies, new OB for the 3rd, RE for the 4th & 5th, was told to stop trying after the 5th because it probably wouldn't happen, found a new dr. who specialized in recurrent loss, 6th miscarriage with her and she didn't give us much hope either, started seriously looking into adoption, became pregnant a 7th time and found a high risk clinic that REALLY listened to me and we brought home our baby boy.)  I have some blood clotting issues that are supposed to be "easy to fix."  That was not the case for me however and I had to find a Dr. that really listened to me and would try different things. 

My heart really goes out to you.  You are the only one who can decide if it's time to go a different direction and that is an extremely difficult decision to make.  Just know that no matter how hard it gets and no matter what you decide, there is always hope for the future.

I had three losses prior to getting pregnant and delivering healthy DD. I, too, thought it would never happen. I started reproductive acupuncture which I'm convinced helped with the blood supply to my ovaries and uterus which helped with the conception of a healthy egg (my losses were chromosomal).

I'm so sorry for your losses. Believe me, we understand your fear.  I've had three. Two blighted ovums and one CP, with three d&cs in there. My info is in my siggy. Basically, we didn't ever really figure out why they all happened. A combination of  bad luck and barely low progesterone maybe. I did get put on synthroid for a normal TSH level for the 4th pregnancy. That's the only thing that was different. I kind of doubt that it was what made the difference for us, but if I get pg again you better believe that I'm asking about synthroid again.
