You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
A vile war-mongering incest-bred white kid with blonde hair who inherits a Kingdom from his rebel-leading father.
A liberal black man with gray hair who won an election to a Democratic Nation, taking over after himself, whose father died in a car accident in another country 30 years ago.
I see the resemblance.

I mean, clearly Obama (the first of his name) is King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm. Andplusalso, Commander in Chief.
I second this. The third book, Storm of Swords, is one of my favorite books of all time. Book 4 and 5 are a bit slower than the first 3, but.. I think it is because of how GRRM decided to split the focal points of them and they follow such an amazing climactic book.
And by climactic I mean orgasmic.

This is good to know...I am over halfway through book 2 right now. I was hooked from the get-go and immediately pissed off about Eddard.
I tried to watch 3 episodes and couldn't do it. Are the books better?
The show (at least the first season) follows the books very closely, but the books do a better job of character development--and this series has some of the most intriguing and complex characters I've ever read, hand's down.

Read it.
I agree. Read it. They aren't extremely long reads depending on how fast you read. But if you enjoyed the shows, I would read them. That way you can jump right into Books 3, 4, and 5.

I hated the show. HATED. Roz ruined the show for me. She's not in the books.
The books are so much better.
Unable to even.

He and Sean Bean were the only redeeming qualities.

Re: lolwut
If by Joffrey he means Tyrion, he's right.

Ditto. Feeling culturally irrelevant right now.
