BFP - Hurray!

I have been bursting to tell someone (other than my husband, of course!) the happy news: We're pregnant!  I got my BFP this week.  As I've been sneakily checking this boards for months, I figured this was the best place to share the news.  I got off birth control in late August.  I had been on it for over ten years, so didn't really know how things would go.  My husband and I weren't necessarily trying, but figured I might as well get off the pill because it could take over a year - we didn't know it would only take 2 months!  We're both 29 years old and very excited (and nervous)!  This will be our first baby, so I am trying to take it day by day - I wanted to join the July Birth group so I can talk with other ladies in the same boat.  The baby is due July, 18 2012.  I don't fully know what to expect and what is going to happen to my body!  I'm surprised by how much I can feel already - I think this whole thing is going to get crazy!

That's my EDD too! Advice - read as much as you can get your hands on. Information can be a double edged sword, but in the end it's better to know ahead of time what's coming for you!

Congrats! I only know what to expect because I've lurked on thebump and the nest for years. For at least the last year I lurked almost exclusively on GP and GPM on thenest. I strongly suggest checking out the tri boards just so you can see what's coming up. They're snarky, but there is a lot of good information there as well. Welcome to the July board!

Thanks so much for all of the congrats and warm welcoming!  It made me a 'lil misty eyed - must be the hormones   Thanks for the tips too, I definitely have much to learn - I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of free time on the boards.  9 months of H&H to everyone!  Here we go!
