Announcing pregnancy...

Deciding when to tell your boss your pregnant is tricky! ... I am six weeks pregnant with no awful morning sickness and I am not showing, so there's no worries that my office will start speculating before I announce my news. I am part time and have been there for a year and a half. Before I found out I was pregnant while TTC, I told my boss I was interested in a position that is available, a promotion and a full time job. There were excited to hear I wanted to be considered for the job, and I'm optimistic about getting it... But now I'm pregnant! and now struggling with the desire to work full time while raising a child. A decision about the position will be made in January. By that time, I'll be about 15 weeks along... Should I announce soon or wait until the job has been decided.... Thanks for your help!

Well, you probably had to decide by now, but for sure wait until a decision is made about the job! There is no reason your being pregnant should effect their decision.
