Just a little update regarding my neural tube defect post below

My afp # is 138.4. My ratio of weight ,age, gestational age and such was 4.0 the cut off for normal is 2.5. And finally my odds for a open neural tube defect is 1:28 which is the same as 3 out of a 100. Sooooo it could be even worse odds but it certainly isn't great. I go next Tuesday for an ultrasound and from those results we will make our next move. I have to be honest though I am really nervous and just wish this week would be over with.

    I'm not as familiar with your tests, but I thought they are only something like 87% accurate? I will be thinking of you on Tuesday and hoping that you get better news then!

    I hate all the uncertainty. I guess this is what parenthood is all about, though-- this will not be the last time we worry about these babies!

    This.  Having gotten crappy results in my sons pregnancy (1:10 for T21), I feel for you.  The not knowing is so very hard.
