I just found out I was pregnant a few days ago.Tentatively due July 10th! My husband and I were shocked as we just started "trying" this month! This is my first and I am SO excited!

A little bummed when I called my OB today and found out I won't have an ultrasound until I'm 20 weeks though! Anyone else dealing with this?

Welcome! It's my 2nd, but we're still so shocked and excited. It feels so anticlimactic, doesn't it? I have the blood draw today at the Doctor, but then won't have an actual appointment for probably 4 weeks. Just rest up until then, and relax as much as you can!

It's actually fairly common to not get an ultrasound until the anatomy scan at 20 weeks since Dopplers are used to pick up the heartbeat.
You will see a lot of ladies getting earlier ones on this board. Most (not all, but most) of those ladies will be ones who have had previous losses.

Congrats! There is always the NT scan at around 11weeks. I'm going to do this because I'm in my mid thirties. If you ask for this test you will get a u/s then too. It may depend on your insurance but I think this is generally offered.

Yay! I just started trying this month too. It's amazing what you can accomplish in a month. I'm sneaking my way in at 4 weeks for a "consult" so I can meet this OB person and deceide if they can be my Dr. or not.
