3cm, 80%!

Doctor's appointment today revealed that I'm 3cm and 80% effaced!! Is anyone else about there, and how far along are you? He thought there was a 60% chance I would go into labor this week (due the 13th), so I'm hoping!!!! He's been right about everything else so far! Let me know your story!

I wish that I had a better story to tell, but I just posted about being dilated to 5-6 (I was at a 3 two weeks ago), 50% effaced, and not being in active labor yet...so I don't, lol.

Oh best of luck to you too!! 5-6, wow!! I thought for sure that would mean l&d time!! I'm sorry!

I'm 4 cm and 80% as of today. I was 3 cm and 50, 75 then 90% for 3 weeks with DS before I went into labor. Good luck. Hopefully your LO makes a debut soon.

That's great progress. I am 70% effaced but not dialted. Just frustrated with how painful my contractions are, and wondering how I am going to make it through the next 3 weeks with these type of painful contractions.

I was 2cm and 80% effaced for 3 weeks leading up to going into labor at 41 weeks with DS.  Unfortunately dilation and effacement isn't a good indicator of when labor will actually begin.  Just means your body is preparing for labor, which of course happens for everyone in one way or another towards the end.  It'll happen soon though!  If not this week, definitely in the next few!
