We're almost to the year mark! Yay! I'm not in a hurry to wean but would like to slowly cut back on the day time feedings. Ideally I would like to only nurse first thing in the morning and before bed. I don't even know where to start with weaning though. I don't want to use bottles at all so I've been putting formula in a sippy cup. DD hates formula. Then I tried WCM (got the go from the dr.) and DD liked it but still didn't drink more than an ounce at a time and still wanted to nurse after. She's to the point now where she knows where her milk comes from and will pull my shirt down, grab my boob, and nurse. Some days I feel like I'll be nursing her till she goes to college. Help me with the weaning process!

Re: weaning
I don't really have any advice, I just wanted to say I feel like I am in the same spot!
Originally I had planned on weaning at one year. Now I would just be happy if we could just nurse morning and bedtime, but that doesn't look likely. With less than three weeks away from her birthday on the weekends when I am home with her she still nurses usually 6 times. And she definitely has started to pull at my shirt and dive-bomb the boobies when she wants to nurse!
I guess my plan once she turns one is to try to just give her a sippy instead of nursing and distract her as much as I can. No low cut shirts I guess! Sorry I'm not really any help.... but I'll be keeping an eye on this thread in case any others have suggestions.
