APNO?

Has anyone tried all purpose nipple ointment for sore/painful nipples? What was your experience with it? And do you need to wipe it off before you breastfeed? TIA

I used it in the past (it's been about 2 years though) and it helped and I dont rememeber having to wipe it off.

Yes! And it was awesome. So much better than lansinoh, I loved the stuff. And it helps prevent thrush. I didn't have to wipe it off, although I tried not to overuse it.

Thanks! I think I actually have thrush, and am hoping it helps clear that up as well as heal my nips

You may want to get checked for thrush - I don't think it will actually clear it up. I was able to put nystantin on myself and give to DS orally and it cleared it up. The nystantin helped a ton. I used APNO afterwards to kind of ward it off again.

yup, I'm actually on diflucan for it right now. Hopefully that, plus the APNO will do the trick.
