Aveeno baby makes really good daily lotions. I also put a few drops of baby oil in E's bath water.
I live on the Canadian prairies and we have very cold, dry winters. It's so hard on my skin, especially when the wind picks up. There's a lot of lotion in this house!
I've definitely suffered from dry winter skin, myself. It's been my experience that once my skin is dry, it's too late. We started lotioning DS at bedtime every night at the end of summer. We use Johnson's naturals lotion. It's not greasy andabsorbs quickly.
I occasionally give DS a massage with olive oil, too.
I use Live Baby, but I don't think it's amazing. It works fine for us. While preggo, I used pure coconut oil, especially on my arms (eczema) and belly. It's messy and I still ended up with stretch marks, but it works great. I use it on LO to prevent diaper rashes.
