Let's do some more bragging shall we?

After weeks of almost doing it, but not really DD is finally crawling! For a while there I thought it may not happen at all. Which would have been fine, too But now she's a speedracer. She wants to b-line for the stairs but luckily the hardwood floors are keeping her from getting there. It's too slick and as fast as her little legs are going, she's not moving at all lol. It is too cute. She also yells DA, DA, DA, DA with every step she takes.

And she says dada and occasional daddy when my H walks in, so she knows! And, she now points at everything. She opens her eyes in the morning and the finger is pointing. First at the TV to turn on the music, then all the pics around the house that we need to bring her to, then all the lights, then dog and the cat and finally her toys.

DD is trying to stand on her own.  She pulls herself up and then pushes off and wobbles for 5-10 seconds.  Then she falls and starts the process over again.  She really concentrates when trying to balance, usually by sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth.

DD has been take 3-4 steps on her own.  This past weekend she took 5 steps!  Tonight she was playing and took 5 steps on her own, without us coaxing her to come!! I'm guessing it won't be long until she is off!

DD mimics us - we whistle and she'll whistle back by sucking in.  Very cute

Well, I mostly lurk but thought I'd chime in.

My DD is walking and now trying to run!! She's been walking since 9 months and we're now 9 1/2 months old.  She says hi and dada mostly but when she's angry/sad she says mama.  When she cries she rolls her tongue which is soo stinking cute but now she's starting to say aye aye aye when she cries. haha

What else.... she points at everything too!!! She also clears her throat and makes funny noises that way.  I can't think of anything else at the moment.
