Postpartum Depression

Just didn't find the theropist helpful....

I had my first theropy appointment last week and I don't plan on going back. She said my job is a huge problem, and I can't just quit but I am look. And to talk to my parents about things I resent them for, which I wont ever do because it isn't worth ruining my relationship with them....

I have a appointment tomorrow with my doctor to see if I can get some medication that will help, I hope that is what can bring me some relief...

  • Sorry that the therapist didn't seem to work out.  Some are better than others though...I do know that!  I would look into finding a really good cognative behavioral therapist.  Pair that with some meds and your recovery will be better and faster.

    Good luck!

PPD/PPA Mom...it has been super hard, but I'm making it! Slow steps...

  • I've had 3 therpist and I only feel like I've made progress with this last one.  She specializes in dealing with women trying to conceive, pregnancy issues, losses and ppd.  I wasn't pregnant when I started going to her but I knew I wanted to try. It's been such help to me to have her as a therapist.
