Laundry ?

How many of you still separate LO's clothes from yours?  We still do, but when this bottle of Dreft is done I am thinking about switching detergents to All and do them all together.

Re: Laundry ?

  • I never did see the point in buying a different bottle of detergent for her clothes but i have my own routine for separating out clothes.

  • I have never done DD's laundry separate from ours. We have been using All Free and Clear detergent since before she was born and I'm comfortable using that for her laundry, too.

  • I still do hers separate.  I still use a free & clear detergent for her, plus now I combine DS'  clothes with hers so it defininetly makes 1 or 2 loads put together.

  • I will do hers seperately if  there is enough of her clothes. I have sensative skin so we have always used the free and clear. I will mix hers with ours if I need to.

  • I usually wash hers separately just because it's easier for folding and putting away but occasionally mix.

  • I stopped separating dds clothes at around 3 months old and switched back to our regular detergent. Now that ds is here I don't seperate but use all free and clear on all our clothes. I will try reg detergent at 3 months and see how he tolerates it. I hate that free and clear has no smellI know that's the point and I feel like it doesn't get the clothes really clean.

This. We use All Free and Clear for all clothes but each of the 2 kids have their own little clothes hamper so when it's full, it's usually enough for a load on it's own.

This is us too. I normally wash DH's, my, and DS's laundry separately (unless I can't make up a whole load, then I mix) but use All Free & Clear for everyone. I've been doing the same thing since DS was a newborn.

  • We've always done them all together.  We've always used free and clear detergent and fabric softener.

  • I only seperated for the first month. We wash everything together and use regular detergent.

  • I separate it. DS has his own little hamper in his room so I just take that to the laundry when it's full. I'm still using Dreft. I was given two large bottles when he was born and I just started using the second one. Not sure what I will do what that is gone, but that will probably take another year..lol. I'm hesistant to change it because of DS's eczema. I use free and clear detergent on DH and I's stuff due to DH's allergies.

  • It's mostly separate, but only because C has his own laundry basket in his room. We use the same detergent for everything.

  • We separate because she has her own hamper, and it's just easier to fold and put away like that. We use regular detergent now though.

  • Kpaivel-very cute siggy pic.

Thanks to all those who replied.  I shared with DH & I think he got the point that it is okay to switch.  He is much more overprotective when it comes to small things like that.

  • I do, but only because he has his own hamper in his room and it is easy to just toss it all in. We ahve always used All free and clear, so there really has been no other reason too except convenience.
