In theory, Halloween was over on Wednesday, but I squeezed in a few extra holiday lunches. I've still got a few more ideas, but I guess I should probably save those for next year.
Very simple witch lunch. PB/honey sandwich on a Hawaiian roll with a little nori witch cutout (she never eats these, but I couldn't resist adding it). There's also blueberries under a Babybel cheese, two blueberry yogurt pretzels, a mini apple, baby carrots, a carved cucumber chunk, plus a "witch broom" made from a cocktail fork and cheese stick.
This was kind of a Halloween hodgepodge. And I drove DD to lunch this day, but had forgotten to take a picture, so I took it in the car. Hotdog mummy (which DD declared disgusting), a little container with a few chewies, baby apple, grapes on picks, silicone of cucumbers and carrots, plus (hidden) cheese and Wheat Thins. What a mess!
Jack-o-lantern! Much neater and more appetizing. I threw this together really quickly. Cheese sandwich, ham on picks, cucumbers, Snapea Crisps and a few tomatoes to fill in the gaps. There's also a sidecar of (surprisingly tasty) watermelon.
Late-night flash photo! This was on Halloween, when I knew DD would be having a class party and candy at night, so I wanted to fill her up with good stuff at lunch! Tomatoes and celery, blueberries and ham/cheese on picks, baby apple with Goldfish, plus a Hawaiian sweet roll.
And finally, an at-home lunch from this weekend. My grocery store started selling mini pitas, which I just couldn't resist! So this is a pita PB/honey tree with pretzel, cheese and dried cranberries. There's also squirrels sitting on a cucumber and clementine. DD entertained herself all through lunch with the story of these squirrels.
PIP your cute lunches here and have a great week!
