Only a minor setback, but...

I am feeling so disheartened today. One of my twins had a feeding tube pulled Friday and we were told today they would do the carseat test to see if he was ready to go home on Monday. However, walking in today, the tube is back, setting us back at least another three days.

I know in the big scheme of things this isn't that big a deal. Both babies will be home and healthy before I know it. But it still sucks, and I feel crappy yet again that I couldn't keep them inside long enough to avoid this separation from my babies.

I just feel sad.

That is rough hang in there.

My husband and I got to the point we just weren't going to believe it until we were out the door with the twins. we just tried to remind ourselves if the best place for them was still the NICU than so be it. It still stunk those.

It will be over before you know it.

I know how frustrating and disheartening it can be when there are minor setbacks.  I hope that they are able to pull the tube soon and do the car seat test. 

Those feelings of guilt are totally normal (I think we all felt/still feel them), but try not to ruminate in them.

Hang in there Mama! The hardest part for me was DD failing the car seat test. I had such high hopes for no NICU stay, then a shorter NICU stay then her sister and then failing the test (twice).

Did he pass the car seat test? Or did they not test him?
