New To The Bump/Expecting! :)

Hey everyone!

My name is Laura and I'm 24..my husband and I just got married in July and we just found out that *surprise* we are expecting a little one! ('bye' to 'The Knot' and hello to 'The Bump' lol)!

For at least a year now, I haven't been consistent with my birth control and hadn't had any pregnancy scares, so I thought that I'd have trouble when it was 'time' for us to 'try'-even though I had regular periods.

The ONE time I was aware of my ovulation dates (last month) was the time we ended up pregnant!

I remember jokingly saying ''I think I ovulate on these days, so..if you want something to happen, we should do it on these days...if we aren't ready...we should hold off!"

A month later, it hit me that I was a little late, so I took a test 'just in case'. I remember sitting there looking at the 1 line that appeared right away and wondering if I'd have to get IVF one day..and within 2 minutes, the 2nd line appeared! I was so shocked! He was, too! Shocked, but very excited!

I took a 2nd test AND went to get a blood test at the hospital, and both came back positive!

We've told our families, and they are both very excited (even my mom, who had encouraged us to wait, is extremely excited)!

I'm adopted and have no family medical history (the perks of being born in the 3rd world I guess), so I'm being extra careful. I'm about to schedule my first prenatal appointment and I'm excited and nervous!

The only thing I wish I could change is the fact that I'm worried about something going wrong. Every day, I wake up and I'm just thankful NOT to see that something has gone wrong...I'm trying not to be too worried, but I can't help it!
