i'm 24, and i'm really excited, yet nervous at the same time. i have so many questions, but no idea where to start asking. How did you tell your family? I'm the first grandchild/niece in my family to get pregnant. I don't know how they would react. I am also not married, but the father is my best friend of almost 7 years, and boyfriend of 6 months.
Re: First pregnancy! Nervous D:
Totally normal to be nervous!
Everyone is different with telling. We won't tell until the first trimester is over with. I love having the secret between just me and DH! And I feel like 9+ months of everyone asking questions and talking about nothing else to you gets old.
The first time around I was HORRIBLY sick and we had to tell earlier than I wished to because I was sick and needed help as we were selling our house and moving. I got my BFP the middle of April and ended up putting sono pictures in our Mother's Day cards to my mom and MIL.
As you're an adult I hope your family doesn't react poorly and is very excited for you! Don't feel pressured to tell them. Tell them in your own way when you're ready.
I realized this the first time around. We told early on, because we were so excited. But I'm a fairly private person and you can only get asked how many weeks you are, if it is a boy or a girl, what the name is, etc. and get everyone's opinions on pregnancy, birth and parenting for so long. You start to realize you wish you had waited a bit! Good luck and I hope your family is excited and supportive! Be confident and excited when you guys tell them so they know what you expect from them.
