One month tomorrow...

I can't believe it's been one month since we met our angel. I have been so out of touch with the board this week because we have not had power since Monday night, I live in NJ. I am in such a fog since we have been in survival mode, and am still grieving over the loss. I am barely sleeping at night since it is freezing and to keep ds warm he has the heater in his room. DH is running around like crazy to keep gas in our generator and to keep it running. I'm so scared I won't make it to the cemetery tomorrow because of all the trees down in our area. I just want to scream and cry and mourn over my Ava and all I can focus on is surviving this effing hurricane! When I stop for a second all I can think of is Ava. It's either Ava or the horrible hurricane on my mind and the aftermath that it has caused. Why is nature so cruel?

I hope you are all doing ok and if anyone else is in the tristate area I hope you and your families have made it through Sandy ok.

We are in Collingswood, NJ and lucked out, but the neighborhood is a mess and we have family all over the NYC area (2 hour lines for gas) that got hit very hard as well as shore homes. I hope you guys get back up and running soon with power.

Thanks ladies. Today was not easy. We are still without power and are not expected to have it back until this Friday or Saturday. I never made it to the cemetery and I feel horrible, but will definitely go tomorrow. We drove all the way down to PA Philly area to see my step daughter for her birthday, it was so hard for me to celebrate anything but I knew it was important to DH. We also filled up on gas and brought more tanks home which makes the whole no power situation combined with a gas crisis a little easier.

Shawna I'm glad you and your family are ok. We are in Cranford, NJ.

On top of today being one month since we met Ava I just got my first PP period today which is crazy, I didn't expect it so soon. I'm just one big ball of emotion. I really appreciate having you ladies to work through all of this with. Thanks for being there and for listening and giving support.
