Contours Options LT?

Does anyone have this stroller? It got really good reviews on Amazon, but I've never heard of it or seen it in stores. It's so much less expensive than the B Ready I've been looking at.

Re: Contours Options LT?

  • We have it. I LOVE that you can turn the seats around and face you. I love that they recline so naptime is comfy in it. It has a nice tray and cup holders for me and dad, and it's pretty easy to push for being so large. The storage basket is great too! We went to San Francisco for 2 day trips and fit 2 purses, diaper bag, bag with snacks, 3 adult sweaters, 2 blankies and 2 stuffed animals in it.

That being said, it's HUGE. We have an 09 Elantra and it just barely fits in the trunk with little room for anything else. It's easy to set up though since the seats and bars come off, so it does compact well. I haven't looked at the B Ready you are talking about but if money is an issue, it's not terrible for 250. Another thing that I read from reviews when I got it was if your children are larger, you may not like it. I have a 1 and 2 year old, both girls, and they are pretty small, so we fit fine. I think though by the time we are 4-5 they may be too big, but we'll see. It's a funky seat since it does collapse, and the foot rest is smallish.

  • My son is very large for his age, and I'm guessing the new little boy will be as well (DH and I are both really tall), so that's good to know. I mainly need a stroller that works with the car seat and DS, and if I need to get a different stroller later when the boys are older then I can. The Britax B ready new is ~$600, which to me is a lot for a stroller, especially because we don't use ours all that often.

When you say HUGE, is it just because it's a double and with both seats folded it's big? Aren't most doubles pretty big? But overall you like it? Can you actually get to the basket with both seats on?

  • I considered this stroller too after seeing it on Amazon. I decided against it because I don't like that its ONLY a double stroller - I know you can take a seat off, but it looks weird and is then just a weirdly big single. KWIM? Also, I watched a vid of it on Amazon, and as the PP said, its still huuuuuge when folded.

I too am considering the B Ready - the 2012 model is on sale right now on Amazon!

  • Nope.  Keep looking.  It's huge when folded, and you have to remove a seat to even fold the thing.  You put your older LO in the front seat and your younger in the back (assuming in the carrier).  This makes the point of pivoting REALLY difficult since all the weight is in the front.  We couldn't fit the stroller and the removed seat into the trunk of our sedan.  The extra seat had to go in the car with us.  We couldn't put anything else in the trunk.

Regardless of whether you have a van or an SUV, I think you'd pretty much need a Suburban or an Excursion to fit the stroller and anything else in the back.

I had this stroller for 6 months before I sold it and moved on to the BJ City Mini.  We are in love.
