snack ideas

Hi,

I just ran out of ideas for snacks, I want to know what kind of healthy snacks I can fix for my DD, also if you can share some tips about healthy snacks to take when you are going out and how to store them. Thanks!

Re: snack ideas

  • Apple sauce squeeze pouches, yogurt pouches by earths best. Cheese crackers, ritz crackers, graham crackers. I'm looking for ideas too! Toast with cream cheese. Cheerios, banana ...

  • dried fruits travel a little better than fresh and are a bit less messy, just get the kind with no sugar added or make them yourself.  My LO loves beans, super easy to carry around and easy for her to eat!  Diced tomatoes and slices of avocado are super healthy.  we do sunbutter right now and will soon try PB, bu i only buy the organic natural kind.  DD will eat any kind of veggie so i just slice a bunch and keep them in bags in the fridge for a constant variety.  guacamole, salsa, hummus - all great dippers!  i keep a few baked sweeet potatoes on hand for me and her, filling and very healthy.  you can sweeten them with cinnamon and honey or maple syrup - natural sugars are much better :-)
  • Thank you so much ladies, I was stuck with pouches and cheerios only, I tried fresh yoghurt but it's hard to keep it cool on long runs, I'll try the dry fruits and veggies and see how it goes, my DD loves vegetables too!
