He just left... Took my car to go to his brothers and he is plastered! I told him he better not take a single step out that door! Then he told me I was being stupid and left! WTMF!!! I am way mad! I called to make sure he made it safe, his brother is just a few blocks away, and he said he was sorry and that what he did was stupid! Even though he gets what he did was dumb, I am still fuming! So I am trying to calm down with a glass of wine and the Bachelor Canada!

That is definitely not ok. He is risking his life and any innocent people who may happen to be driving at the same time as him.

this. Drunk driving is so infuriating. I lost my cousin due to a drunk driver so it's just one of those things that is completely unacceptable.

I know what an A$$!! I hate drinking and driving and usually he is so much smarter than this, I don't even understand what just happened! He is walking home thankfully. I will have to walk to my car tomorrow, but I am 100% fine with that to make sure everyone is safe in the morning!

I am so sorry about your cousin! It really is the most selfish decision someone can make! I agree 100% unacceptable!

I'm glad he got there safely and that he's going to walk home. I still think he needs a punch in the nuts for it though.

Did you have a talk with him today? That is SO not ok, especially as a husband/father or human in general!. He could get injured, charged criminally, sued or killed.

I understand how frustrated you must be. My father is a functioning alcoholic and I know he drives drunk often.  I refuse to ride or allow my daughter to ride with him if he's been drinking, but as kids he used to drive us around after he'd been drinking. I hope that you're able to have a discussion with YH about how unsafe it is, even if it's just a short distance.  Unfortunately it's not the drunk drivers who pay, it's the people who they hurt or kill while they're driving under the influence. I wish I could get it through my stubborn father's head, but even after 2 OUI"s he's still unreachable.

Oh ya! He feels like a complete idiot and apologized a million times! I know it doesn't make what he did ok, but at least he acknowledged that it was wrong and feels horrible!
