Multiples

Hello

Hi everyone. I'm Daysie. Most of my info is in my siggy. DH and I have been trying for just over 2 years. We just had a FET done in October and had my second ultrasound today. There was only one gestational sac, but the PA found two heart beats and two little babies! This was a complete shock to us! We did transfer 2 embryos, but at last weeks u/s when we only saw one sac, we just assumed we had one, so, we got some pretty big unexpected news today! We are excited, still new to this and still very newly pregnant. I've had 2 losses in the 2 years we've been trying, but this is the furthest we've made it! We are cautious but optimistic. I have no knowledge at all on multiples so I hope I can learn a lot from you all.

Re: Hello

  • Big shock indeed!  Congrats!  Twins are awesome, never would have thought to want them but I'm loving life with them!  (You won't say that right away...it's hard at first but OMG so worth it!)

  • Welcome and congrats!  That would be a big surprise indeed.  Monochorionic twins do carry more risks than di/di twins so my advice would be to try to educate yourself but don't freak out.  Also make sure you are seen by MFM frequently for u/s starting in 2nd trimester.  Lots of luck for a healthy long pregnancy.
  • Congrats to you both!!! Hope all goes well.....God bless!!!
