cradle cap

Punkface has cradle cap. how often can I shampoo her hair? We have been using standard jj bath stuff. Any recs for a better shampoo?

DD has this, too, and the pediatrician said there's not much we can do but put olive oil on it if it really bugs us and that it will go away on its own. We use California Baby, but it's obv. not making much of a difference!

We used this stuff and it worked awesome.  I'd put it on at the beginning of her bath and let it sit and then rinse it out.  Then I would take her soft brush and massage her head with it and rinse some more.  It was gone in less than a week.  I used it every day.

My mw just told me I could use coconut oil. Makes it a little oily for a while but clears it up fast.

We did three treatments with Selsun Blue (every 3 days) and in between I did olive oil(put it on then put a hat on for an hour and then brushed it, using the brush to break up any flakes. It was completely gone in less than 2 weeks. She also had it on her eyebrows--I used EMAB baby oil on those and scraped it off with my fingernails.

Put selson blue on it. It will clear up in a few days. 

If its really bad, put it on a dry head. Wait 5 minutes then rinse it off.

We used baby oil and that did the trick. 

The hardest part is resisting the urge not to pick at it!
