A big thank you / and an open adoption post

I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who commented on my "going through a hard time" post and especially to those who recommended us going to AZ to visit. It was very reassuring to read all your encouraging words. DH and I decided that we will plan to go for Christmas. DH went to visit MIL yesterday and start planning the funeral because things are just going to get harder and MIL wanted DH to know his dad's wishes b/c when the time comes she will be in no shape to do anything. We are hoping to have 6 more months with FIL.

On a completely separate note, just wanted to say that a friend of mine did a guest post in my blog today on open adoption (I'm doing a series in honor of adoption awareness month) and I think it is very good! Might be of interest to those of you who are planning for an open adoption. Her kids are 11 and 13 I think, so she has a perspective that many of us newbies don't have yet! Link in siggy.
