What games do you have for LO? I saw in a post below about hungry hungry hippos (which I love) but i know my LO will still probably try to eat the marbles LOL
Any other game/board game recommendations out there?
My 2yr old is closer to 3 and I'm starting to think she might be ready for matching games - like the kind where you lay out all the cards upside down and flip them until you find matches. We had one handed down to us I'm thinking about pulling out and trying. We don't really have any other board game types for her yet.

My son has loved ipad games since I can remember..but not other games. He's just now really getting into matching games. I got hungry hippo for his 2nd bday..he did OK with it.. but he didn't care much for it.

DD is almost 3 and the only games she really gets into are the active games - Elefun, Gator golf, etc. She doesn't have the patience or the concentration for other games; I have tried Memory and Leap Frog's Alphabet game and she likes them but doesn't play with them in the way they are supposed to be played with - not even close.
We play Memory, but at 2 I would only pick out like 10 cards at a time. Candyland was and still is pretty much over her head. She likes to play with the Uno cards and we sort them by colors, find #s, etc. Hungry Hippos is probably the only game she really plays properly. MIL bought her some other matching game I don't remember the exact name but it has something to do with underwear. She likes finding the socks and matching them into pairs.
DD2s current favorites are the Candyland Castle Game (DD1 loved this game for a looooong time) and a game called Old McDonald. We also have a travel Hungry Hungry Hippos (with a plastic cover so the marbles can't escape) and she plays with that sometimes.

Memory - but we don't play with all the cards.
Don't Spill the Beans - just learning the right way to play.
Go Fish (the kind where the fish spin around in that thing and you have to try to catch them on your plastic hook - its hard!)
Cootie - we don't really play the right way, just build the cooties.
Hi Ho Cherry-Oh is another favorite.
