Hello there!
I am Bethany. I have posted here before asking questions and seeking advice, but never gave a formal intro as we still weren't sure of our path. My husband and I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years. After numerous fertility treatments (including IVF), 2 devestating losses, and much emotional and physical pain, we have decided that adoption is the right path for us. We have not ruled out fertility treatment later on in life, but right now, it is not right for us anymore.
We are interested in DIA and are meeting with an adoption lawyer very soon. I understand that this process is overwhelming, and comes with it's own set of difficulties, but we feel so optimistic and hopeful about seeking adoption. Our main goal to to be the most amazing parents to a child that deserves a loving and stable home.
If anyone has any advice about the process/or specific questions I should be asking to lawyers/agencies, I would really appreciate it. I look forward to getting to know all of you better and learning from you!
Re: "Officially" Saying hello!
Welcome to the board!! I'm so sorry for your struggles and your losses, that is so hard. I don't have any specific advice, if you haven't already the FAQs have some good info and my favorite introductory type adoption book is "You CAN Adopt" which is very easy to read and sets out the different types and steps of adoption nicely.
Welcome again and congratulations on deciding to adopt
