I admit I have to be a fake person toward some people in my life. I have a particular person in my life (I've complained about her often on here) I have very little in common with. Since we have so many mutual friends, and because we are in a small community, I have to keep her as a friend. I feel wrong for being a two faced person, because who likes that a$$hole?! However, if I told her how I really feel about her and how uncouth I feel she is, then I would have major backlash. So, I get to just vent about it on TB.

Re: I have a confession today, you?
I am wearing pants that are way too tight around the waist. To the point that they are making marks on my stomach (I am wearing a flowy shirt so you can't see how tight it is though.) My belly is sticking out lately so I am just waiting for someone to ask me if I'm pregnant again.
I've been working out pretty hard but can't seem to say no to yummy fall beers and Halloween candy. I need to get control of my eating!
Spicy, I am proud of you for deciding to express your opinions and stand up for yourself to your ILs. I have the same problem of never wanting to rock the boat with mine!
Colleen, don't worry- seems my pants leave marks on my belly like everyday. I am l am muffin-top central!
I feel you. I just started back at the gym this morning (couldn't go before with DH working), but I managed to gain 2 pounds to what I had lost. Somewhat disappointing, but I'd rather keep myself in check by not pretending to know that I gained it back.
All I can think about is Empire Records' "Sugar High" scene, but I can't find a good gif - damn it! Good luck, Spicy! I'm sure it will make you feel better for stating your opinion- it is your child, afterall!
My guess is that it is muscle. You will gain weight in muscle as you start working out. As your body is adjusted to the amount of muscle you need, then it will start shredding the fat. So keep with it, because you will see results soon! Sometimes your weight will stay steady but you will notice clothes getting looser....that's why you should take your measurements in addition to weighing yourself. Say you are 150 and working your butt off but continue to weigh 150, it can get discouraging even though if you take measurements, you may not have lost weight but you may have lost 1 to 2 inches. That's why you do both.
We recently moved Olivia to a combination of nanny share and parent's day out. Because of this, the nanny cleans our house and we are supposed to get rid of our old cleaning lady. I haven't had to balls to talk to her about it yet but really, the main issue is that adore her and she does the best job and I don't want her to go! Our nanny doesn't do nearly as good of a job and at the moment I don't even care that we essentially double pay for cleaning.
I told my husband that I would tell the cleaning lady that we were done but I haven't and I also told him I would have the cleaning lady train the nanny. I haven't done either of these things and yesterday when the cleaning lady came and he asked why she was still coming, I told him she was training the nanny. That was a total lie.
