It was the tail end of Hurricane Charley, and would have gotten soggy. We hadn't planned on throwing anything, anyway.

Rice!  Yep...it was the olden days.  lol

My DD  had ribbon wands because the church wouldn't allow anything except bubbles and even with that they were afraid they might somehow get inside.  It was a historical church so there were a LOT of restrictions.
