Temping

Would it be completely ridiculous to start temping late in my cycle? I'm on cd 21 and still haven't received any positive opks or readings on the fertility monitor. I usually ovulate between cd 17-19. I've never temped before. What temp change would I be looking for?

    It wouldn't be ridiculous to start temping to get into the habit, but no guarentee that you will catch a shift.  You'd need several temps before a shift to establish pre O temps.  So if you don't O for a few more days, you could catch it, but not for sure.

    How do you know when you usually O?  If you say "an app on my phone," please know that it is probably useless.  It just counts days.

    I don't think it would be ridiculous to start.  But I think the value would be in getting used to temping and seeing the drop if you get to the start of a new cycle.
