Newbie intro!

Hi everyone. I'm new to the bump and I'm trying to learn the ropes. I'm currently pregnant with my first. Baby is due 4th of July, 2013! Excited to possibly have an Independence Day Baby.

My husband and I started trying to week of our wedding (first of this month) and decided to take some tests leading up to the week of my period. We had a friend that went through IVF and had about 50 left over tests that she just gave us. Last Wednesday, the first day after my missed period we took a test and there was definitely a second faint line. We then went to WalMart to get a different kind of test, took another later that night and there was a faint plus sign. Thursday we took 2 more tests, the lines were stronger and there was a DEFINITE plus sign. I had a blood test done just to be sure and it was confirmed on Friday. We are more than excited. In fact my husband is elated. I've caught him writing a little more and he wrote a short 8 line poem about his joy for creating new life.

My first scheduled appointment is December 20th. They could have gotten me in on the 13th, but I'm a music teacher and have 2 holiday concerts at school that day Music I'm so excited to start this new journey and can't wait for another 4-8 weeks to pass so we can start spreading the word. Hoping to meet some wonderful people on this site. Congrats to everyone due this July!!!!
