I am a lurker on the board. I am not in the process of adopting, but before we moved a few months ago, my DH and I were in the process of becoming foster parents. Saw this article and thought of those on this board. I know that the reason for adopting is not (at least it should not be)because of a tax credit, but that after the expense it can be helpful.
