All in one vs. flip

Which would you choose and why? I'm new to all this, I'm for the all in one and H wants flips.

I would vote for AIO, but I never found the AI2 love.

If you`re just starting out try both, you never know what you are going to like better.

I have the Bum Genius love. I had their pockets with DD and loved them! For this LO we got some of each style. So we will have pockets, Elementals, Freetimes, and Flip.

Flip covers with prefolds are our favorite but we also really like BG Freetimes. The Freetimes run short in the rise but are pretty trim for a OS AIO so that's something to consider. The Freetimes dry very quickly. We have a BG Elemental but I don't use it too often. You have to make sure the elastic is rolled in because it's not encased and that annoys me. Plus it takes forever to dry. Other than those two things it's a great diaper but I have been happy with all BG products so it doesn't surprise me.

AIO definitely.  I so desperately want to love my Flips and I just don't.  No matter what I try the covers (which do fit my son really well) get poop and stuff on them making them a one-time use anyway at my house.  And at that point I'd rather just make it easier on myself and have a one piece or pocket

This. I'm not the biggest fan of Flips. I like BG pockets (a LOT) and I like prefolds snappied on him with covers.  With simply an insert laying in the cover, the poop always gets in the cover.

AI2s are my favorite type of diaper, but I hate flips. I much prefer the grovia AI2. I really like the BG freetime. You should never buy all of one kind of diaper to start. It's best to have a variety to try, plus your favorites change as your LO grows.

I have mad BG love! We have Elementals and Flips and I love them both! I personally usually reach for the Flips first because I like to save the Elementals for the babysitter because they are so easy. I only have 6 of them, but they take FOREVER to air dry, so they are used more for special occasions. The long air-dry time is really their only downfall IMO. My Flips are so versatile though as I use the stay-dry inserts, pad-folded GMD flats, and pad-folded flour sack flats in them.

I love our BG Freetimes. We have 20 of them in a stash of less than 30.  My husband figured these out with no problem as did his parents.  I love other diapers for specific situations etc but the Freetimes are the general Go-To diaper.
