Anyone use a soft insert in the flange of their breast pump?
I have the Ameda Purly Your Ultra. I'm using the 25 mm flange. I think its a little big because my areola is pulled into the flange and rubes. I was thinking about getting a smaller flange. Ameda makes 2 smaller inserts that fit into the 25 mm flange - One reduced it to 22.5 mm, and the other is a soft insert that reduced it to 21 mm (and stimulates the aerola). I'm guessing the soft ones would be more comfortable than the hard ones. However I'm afraid the soft one might be too small (21 mm).
Anyone use a soft insert in the flange of their breast pump (regardless of the brand / size)? What are the pros and cons of the soft ones? Does anyone know if any other brand of soft flange inserts fit the Ameda pump?
TIA

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
