Pregnant after a Loss

Just when the boards started to calm down

Last week someone commented about the March 2013 board being kind of slow lately, and the 2nd Trimester has been that way too... Well, check out the post about how a kid doesn't have to be expensive on the 2nd Trimester board. It's already up to something like 60 comments... Especially entertaining for STM's.

  • I gotta step away from that post, it's causing me to get nothing done!  And it's also entertaining for FTM's that are not completely out of touch with reality Stick out tongue

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • Yikes.  While I agree that there are a lot of ways to save money (buying in bulk, using hand-me-downs, etc), most of what the OP said is just plain irrational.

I guess I don't really see what the problem is.  I mean, I fully intend to make other people take care of my child for free.  Even though I'll quit my job to stay home so we can avoid the cost of daycare.  And breastfeeding is guaranteed to work out perfectly for me because my pregnancies are totally perfect and everything goes my way.  All the time.  Oh - and we aren't going to buy a crib/clothes/diapers/etc because they aren't necessary expenses.  Heck, we'll just put the kid in a box until he/she turns 18, then send them on their merry way to pay for college themselves.

I'm so glad the OP cleared that up for me.

I don't understand the problem. Children don't have to cost anything. I think the logical plan is to have at least 5 showers for each baby. If no one is willing to have one for you, no big deal, just throw them yourself! Then all of the family and all of your friends and acquaintances can pitch in to help out. Once you get to your 3rd child or so, there's no need for new stuff for the baby since you can use hand-me-downs, so you can put stuff on your registry for the oldest child and start asking people to gift baby-sitting gift certificates. Simple solutions, people. Stop spending money unnecessarily on your child.

This just made me laugh.  I'm sorry if I seem heartless.  She is in a dreamland.  If I told her how much we've spent on our child in 3-1/2 years she'd piss her pregnant panties.  And we only put her in preschool part-time 6 months ago.

HAHAHA!  Piss her pregnant panties, you crack me up!
