We normally have a gate up at the bottom of the stairs to keep DS out just in case. But when we came home from church yesterday DH forgot that it wasn't up yet. I was in the other room, but still saw DS crawl toward the direction of the stairs. NBD since he usually goes over there to chew and bang on the gate. A few minutes later I noticed it was really quiet. I walked in, and DS was halfway up the stairs and still going!!
He was so pleased with himself when he saw me I've let him try to climb before (with me standing right behind him), but he's only gone up one stair before he turned around and wanted me to pick him up. Not anymore!
Yikes!

I have to admit, I don't have DD anywhere near stairs yet. Just the thought of her climbing stairs scares the $hit out of me so I'm avoididng it for now... Not sure if that's good or bad but that's just the way it is LOL
