Re: ***January Check-In***
Updates: How are you doing? Please update us on any progress, appointments, milestones, etc. Also, if you have any questions, list them here and hopefully someone will answer! This was just another huge week for us! Last Monday we had a terrific growth scan that showed baby was looking perfect. I was thrilled to hit 3rd tri, but that faded quickly - I was sent to L&D that night for monitoring due to decreased movement. Baby is fine, but man, was that scary! Hubs finished painting the nursery and putting together all the furniture...I can't wrap my head around the fact there is a nursery in my house that might just get used! Up this week I have a regular OB appointment - and my shower on Saturday...eeek!!!!
GTKY: What's your favorite Halloween candy? I can eat my own wait in Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...

Update: I have been doing well, other than the horrible sciatic pain and low back pain that seems to creep up on me from time to time. I had an appointment last week and found out that I passed my GTT with flying colors, which was very exciting. Next appointment is next Thursday.
GTKY: I am not a very big candy person. I do like dark chocolate, but usually a small piece satisfies me. That being said, this pregnancy has given me a bit of a sweet tooth, and I have found that I am eating a bit more than I usually would. My husband says that I am still not eating any where near what he would eat if we had candy in the house (I guess that is good).

I am glad that everything was okay from your trip to L&D. Have a wonderful time at your shower!

KPowers, I am so happy that everything turned out okay! That sounds terrifying! So happy that you and LO are fine.
Updates: How are you doing? Please update us on any progress, appointments, milestones, etc. Also, if you have any questions, list them here and hopefully someone will answer! Last Monday's appointment was a great relief! Our baby looks great! She has a fantastic heartbeat and kicks tons. My migraines have gotten a bit more than I can reasonably handle with the mild meds I had so now I am on a daily dose of medication and I HATE it but Ariel is all worth it. I'm feeling much better about delivery time since we have acquired the majority of what we need for our LO so now it is a matter of keeping my nerves in check and enjoying the last trimester.
GTKY: What's your favorite Halloween candy? I love chocolate! Anything chocolate makes me one happy camper!
Updates: Doing well, didn't have any appointments this week, my next appointment will be next Mondy when I'll get my second growth scan I am quite excited. I'll also be starting my NSTs so I'll probably do one on Thursday or Friday since my growth scan will count as one of my two NSTs for next week. Aside from being sore and tired I've been feeling pretty well, and Annabelle has been quite active which helps make me feel better but I still have my irational fears that something will go wrong.
GTKY: I don't know that I have a specific favorite but lately I've been quite enjoying snickers so we'll call that my favorite for this week.
GTKY: the root beer flavored bottle caps! I raid my kids buckets and claim them! I tell them that is how mommy's get paid at Halloween. Thankfully, they're both sweet enough to let it slide!
Updates: Still trying to manage the GD. Had an endo appointment today and the nurse said if my numbers aren't more consistent, I need to start insulin.
She showed me how to do the injection and all that, but so far today my numbers have been good, so I don't need to start them...yet anyway. Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, I am off school today and tomorrow. DH and I cleaned the house for a while today (federal govt is closed, so he is off too!). Still have power at the moment, so that's good!!! Lastly, I am incredibly itchy (complained about this earlier last week) and the itchiness is spreading..hands, feet, hips, back, legs, you name it. Getting a rash and bruises on hips, hands, and feet from scratching so much. Considering calling OB tomorrow to see what, if anything can be done about this? Also have a feeling of anxiety I just can't shake...normal PGAL stuff I suppose, and now that it's almost November, I am just starting to get very antsy and nervous. Anyone else feel that way?
GTKY: I am slightly obsessed with Twizzlers.
kpowers: Sorry you had to go to L&D for decreased movement. Did you post about that before? I must have missed it if you did. Were you the one that noticed it doing kick counts or something? Or did they pick up on it at a doctor's appointment? Anyway, glad everything is OK.

Doing pretty well. A little stressed with school and work drama lately, but hopefully the work drama will be over when I get back from my mat leave (moving to a different position). This week I hit 3rd tri, which is awesome. I can't believe I've come so far. I realized that I love being pregnant because I feel pretty. We have our 28 week appt on Friday.
GTKY: What's your favorite Halloween candy? Ooooh. That's a tough question. Reese's cups or pieces, M&M's, Twix
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
I'm glad everything turned out well with your trip to L&D. Also congratulations on a nearly finished nursery kpowers! We don't have the room painted or furniture yet.
Updates: I'm doing pretty good. I sometimes have trouble sleeping though, and my hands are still swelling. Because of my APS, I guess I'm considered high risk so next Monday starts weekly NST's. They are doing a growth u/s on the first one too, I can't wait to see her again.
GTKY: For me it all depends on my mood. Sometimes its skittles or starburst, others it's reese's cups.
yay for passing the GTT! I know that was weighing on your mind so I'm glad you don't have to worry about it anymore. And I can't believe my eyes when I look at your ticker...almost 30 weeks! How the heck did THAT happen?!

thanks, friend. Hopefully I'll have a couple of cute pictures to post!

well I'm glad you had a good appointment, but man, you sure are having a rough go of it with the migraines! Are they saying its just hormone related? I was thinking about you today because I've had a nagging little headache all day and its no fun!

Hi pretty mamas!!
Not too much exciting going on here (which is okay). I passed my GTT, which was good news and LO is measuring right on track for 29 weeks! We just need to assemble our dresser and then the nursery will be ready for LO (the rest of the house, maybe not so much). We also decided on a name!
Little honeybadger will be named: Wyatt James. Wyatt means brave/warrior, which I particularly like and James is after my father and is also DH's middle name. We haven't told our families this yet, but I thought I could share with you girls!
GTKY: My favorite Halloween candy is Reeses' Peanut Butter Cups!
ill bet you're going to be blown away by how big Annabelle is getting! I can't wait for an update...post one of her pics if you can next week!

thoughts and prayers for a most excellent scan! And if they do reschedule you, I hope you don't have to wait too long. I hope your nutritionist helps you come up with a game plan that you're happy with!

hey reg! I know you're having a rough time with the GD diagnosis and that insulin is scary...but I SWEAR it gets easier and the injections don't hurt! I've been doing them for 10 months. As for your rash, it sounds like PUPPS...definitely give the OB a call and see what they can do for you. Hope you're feeling better soon!

congrats on third tri! It's so awesome to hear that you're enjoying being pregnant and it's making you feel great. Wishing you a great appointment this week!

i can totally relate on the swelling. It's so annoying, sometimes I can tell its because I've had something salty, other times it just seems really arbitrary that it happens. Good luck with the NSTs, I'll be starting them soon myself. At least you'll get a peak at your little cutie next week though!

Update: I've been doing okay. Emotionally, I'm still struggling but a little part of me finally believes I'm pregnant and that's a huge step for me! Baby girl rolls around so much so it's not like I can just ignore that there's someone in there anymore.
GTKY: Candy Corn (but not the kind that has a strong honey flavor) and Reese's!
Hey! I was wondering how you've been yesterday, so I'm glad you checked in! I'm sorry you're still struggling...I do a lot of that myself. But I'm glad to hear your sweet girl is dancing around all the time, reminding you she's still here!

Hopefuly we'll get some better pictures this time. Last time she was snuggled up to her foot the whole time so we could only see half of her face.
