We just got our health insurance information for our upcoming enrollment period. It has gone up, A LOT, again.
I will be paying $436 a month for a plan that has a $2000 deductible and then I will have to pay 10-20% after we meet the deductible. This makes me want to cry.
How much do you pay for insurance and what kind of coverage do you have?

Re: Health Insurance
The plan I am on at work is free and I have a $2500 deductible, and 0% afterwards. However, I will be switching to MH's insurance this next calendar year to be on a family plan and he will pay about $100/ month and our deuctible is $7200 with 0% afterwards -- this is an HSA.
I just enrolled in mine last night. For the best plan I can get it's about $200 a month and that includes dental and eye added on and I also added $15,000 of life insurance on for C. My deductible is $500 per person they pay 80% of costs with my maximum out of pocket cost at $3,000 per person. Preventive care is 100% covered.
ETA- I just have C and I on my insurance. Dh has his own that his company pays for 100% and J is on his dad's military insurance.
H pays $250 a month for the three of us, with no deductible, $20 office visits, $15 prescriptions, free preventative care. We don't pay a percentage of anything that is covered, beyond the copay. Tilly's life so far has cost us $200. If I had delivered in the hospital where her pedi has privileges, she would have been free!
The $250 includes dental and vision, but the coverage isn't as good (I think it's 80/20 with free check ups and routine cleanings, free routine vision exams, one pair of glasses per year, and I think I pay full price for contacts).
H also does a biometric screening at work once a year that waives our premium for the month.
MH works for a big insurance company and we still pay a ton. I do not know how much we pay a month but our deductible is 3k a person then we pay 20% after that. I think after 6k they pay for everything. We do have a health savings account that his company contributes to.
I'm a SAHM and DH works for the state so we pay a ridiculous amount. I think it's like $650 extra a month for the me and DS, $1000 deductible (for both of us individually) then 20% copay. We are looking into seeing an individual plan for me and the kid(s).
It sucked last year being high risk and seeing two doctors and then DS had a dilated kidney at birth so we met his deductible in one doctor visit and that was in October.. the end of the year!
Fortunately, they are good about covering all of his well baby visits so we haven't had to pay anything for him this year. Knock on wood.
Wow, I think we are up to around 7k for Violet. She did have to have a couple ultrasounds for a hip issue that turned out to be nothing.
$632 a month for C and I with a $1,000 deductible. I hate insurance.
For this baby, the policy is 440/month for my whole family. It's a 750 deductible and 90 percent coverage.
Threads like this always blow my mind.
I live in Canada, no duh, so I won't tell you about our insurance.
