POAS question

So many people talk about the faint pink line and not being ables to read their test. I buy the digital tests that say pregnant or not pregnant. Is there a reason why people don't use digital. Just wondering if I'm missing something or if people just like to stress over pink lines. Of course no test is better when they are all BFN like mine today. 

TTC since 5/11 both uf us are >35
Clomid 4cycles pregnancy ended in MC 6/12
IUI #1,2, 3 and 4 ALL BFN.
Moved on to IVF in Jan. 2013 Beta #1 288, Beta #2 529 Heartbeat on 2/8! Miscarriage at 15 weeks. 4 months to be complete. Every test known to science. No known reason for MC. FET Oct 2013 BFP on 11/2. Beta# 1 910.     They're expensive. I'd rather spend a dollar to get a BFN.

    Funny as it may sound, I have long looked forward to running out to buy a digital when I finally got a faint line on a cheapo test. Sort of like how I have used digital OPKs in the past: as a back up to the cheap tests. Never even got a faint line--boo--so it's never even been an issue. Not that I still don't squint at them!

    But yeah, like others, I prefer to spend less and also have less waste if I'm testing "unsure" (i.e. before my period is actually "late.").

    AMA & SAIF. TTC #1 since Oct. 2010. DX: Unexplained. BFP on break after 32 months trying and 2 med cycles. Baby girl born at 40w0d!

    yup its all about $$ cause I can poas up to 3 times a month, lately I have been expressing great patience....

    My Ovulation Chart


    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    We were considering digital, but the cost for the long term is prohibitive. I'm going with the cheapies on Amazon like most here on these boards.

    A FRER needs a lot less HCG for a positive than a digital.  I'm a POAS-aholic and enjoyed seeing the lines get darker and darker each day before I finally broke out the digital to confirm.
