6 week old feeding question

DD is 6 weeks 5 days old. She is formula fed and takes 4 ozs. Some times she literally wants to eat at 2 or 2 1/2 hours at a time. I feel like this is excessive and I wouldn't think she is hungry again, but nothing else calms her and as soon as she eats she is smiling, happy, and dozes off to sleep.

Is it normal for a FF baby to want to eat this frequently ??

She may be going through her 6 week growth spurt.  Or is she comfort sucking?  Have you tried giving her a pacifier to see if she just wants to suck.  If that doesn't do the trick, she may be hungry from her growth spurt.

I'd say growth spurt too. LO is doing the same thing. He will suck down 4 oz and then the next time maybe only 2-3 oz. He is usually right on with every 2 hours too.

Thank God ! I was concerned that I am overfeeding her and I will end up with sumo baby !! lol

It's totally normal for a 6 week old to eat every 2 - 2 1/2 hours, growth spurt or not! Don't worry
