Who is your cell coverage through?

And are you happy with them?

Re: Who is your cell coverage through?

  • Sprint. It's ok most of the time. The data is slow. DH has verizon, and is much happier.

  • ATT It's okay. I feel like they nickle and dime you to death on the bill. If H's company didn't require him to have a smart phone and didn't pay for a big chunk of it I'd drop it in a minute.

As soon as my contract is up I'm going back to  Straight Talk. Unlimited minutes, text, and data for around $50 a month (after taxes) we had it for over a year before and I loved it.

  • We have Verizon (and have for years, with a short stint with Nextel).  I love the coverage, but am really annoyed at their new data policy.  Our plan (with 2 unlimited data plans) is still cheaper than their share everything plan they would force us into if we upgrade phones at the discounted rate.

  • We have Verizon. We are also happy enough to stay.

Straight Talk is awesome. My husband has Verizon, and he pays about twice as much as I do for way less than I do with Straight Talk. Why everyone doesn't have Straight Talk I'll never know.

  • AT&T, they worked very well for us in Texas, but since we moved they have no towers here and our signal SUCKS.

  • We have verizon and like it. Like some of the pp said I am annoyed at the new plans which force you to pay more. But I think they have the best coverage so we stick with them.

  • I had verizon for years and loved it. but bills were getting crazy.

Now H has an iphone fully paid for through work and we switched mine to AT&T prepaid since I don't need it for much more then texting and some calls. So our cell bill is now only $25/month (since his is free). I have 250 min I think (but I never go over, I don't talk to much on it!) and unlimited texting.

When I stopped working it was one place we were able to save some money to make it work with only one paycheck

  • ATT and is good but is limited data and that sucks! Even more since I do EVERYTHING from my phone. That's why of the reasons I go without posting a week or so... cus H keeps telling me "Stop posting! You are sucking are your data!!!" hahahahahaha

  • We have ATT. I have never had and issue with them and have been using them since 1999. We are on a family plan with unlimited text and data. My DH used to have Sprint and hated them.

  • Verizon. I had ATT when the iPhone first come out and Verizon didnt offer it. I dropped them real quick.

I'm really happy with Verizon, and I get a discount through DH's company. The service is the best I've experienced.

I didn't know they offered this. I almost never talk on the phone so this would be great for me. Do you happen to know if it's available with an Iphone? I think they require you to have a data plan with it.

  • We have Verizon too. I just upgraded to an iPhone a few months ago and was upset by a $30 upgrade charge. I called to try and sweet-talk my way out of it, but no dice.

The nickel & diming makes me irate.

We used to have a local cell phone company -- they were great! But, they got bought-out by Alltel, then Alltel got bought out by Verizon. I much prefer having a local company, but I just don't think they could be competitive and keep up with the fast-changing technology.

Verizon. I get a discount on my part of the plan, then we have a family plan with H, Fil, and Mil to make it more affordable. We are happy enough to stay. Every one we know is Verizon...

Eta. We got in this plan before the data sharing thing started. H and i both have 4 gig of data each month! I'll be scared to update in two years.

    All if this.

No I don't think you can do this with an Iphone, I am pretty sure only some 'prepaid' types. My phone looks like a blackberry - but it isn't one. For the savings we get I am willing to forgo all of the 'extras' you can get with an Iphone/better phone. I have a Kindle Fire that I use for app's and stuff for Owen.
